Black Friday Xbox deals could be very promising in 2024, what with new hardware refreshes potentially in the works. More than that, as Microsoft puts its new developer acquisitions to good use, we'll start to see more big releases from Activision-Blizzard come to the Xbox platforms. With some amazing price reductions on consoles, games, accessories, and more, Black Friday Xbox deals are worth preparing for.
We track Xbox deals throughout the year, whether it's accessories we review, newly released games, or bundle offers. Last year, we saw some really great value on bundles most of all - the sheer breadth of games, accessories, and subscriptions that were being passed out with the consoles were excellent incentives for hitting the "buy" button. The best Xbox Series X deals and the lowest Xbox Series S prices come around during Black Friday, so it's worth getting prepped for them.
When the deals begin, we'll be listing them down below, but since we're still months away, we've tried to provide helpful information so you know what to expect. We've tried to answer frequently asked questions, and we've rounded up a list of last year's best offers. This way, you can have an idea of what budgets you might need to save throughout the year. Black Friday Xbox deals FAQs
When will Black Friday Xbox deals start?
Black Friday Xbox deals will land on November 29 this year, but considering we saw sales properly kick off a few days earlier last year (and in plenty of other years before that) we'd recommend preparing your wallet from the beginning of Thanksgiving Week onwards. We generally see discounts tick up from October onwards, especially since Prime Day events are becoming more widespread at other retailers.

Black Friday Xbox deals: what to expect
Black Friday Xbox deals in 2024 could very much depend on what game bundles we see on the consoles throughout the year. We could maybe see a Hellblade 2 bundle that gets discounted throughout the year - potentially in a similar way to what we saw with the Diablo IV bundle in 2023. Depending on the other big releases we get from Xbox in 2024, more bundles and game sales could be big during Black Friday. We didn't see the return of the $1 Game Pass trial for Black Friday 2023, but that's always something to look out for when deals come around.
The other factor that could influence what Xbox deals we get during Black Friday is the refreshed Project Brooklyn hardware. It's rumored we're getting a refreshed console design for the Xbox Series X - and at this stage, it isn't confirmed when we're getting it and what the bonuses of it will be, besides a new chassis. Perhaps most interesting, is that we're also supposed to be getting a new controller that has haptic feedback similar to Sony's DualSense. Whether that could bring with it a new Elite Series controller or not remains to be seen, but since it's been years since we've seen a new first-party Elite Series controller, this could be the year.
Should new hardware launch in 2024, it's more than likely we get decent discounts on the older stuff going into November. What's more than guaranteed is that we'll get plenty of third-party accessories on offer, whether that's controllers, Expansion Cards, or headsets. Series S deals are always likely as well, and with the Black 1TB model completing its first year on the shelves before Black Friday, we could see the best-ever prices on it so far.
