Resident Evil: Revelations trailers and screens are looking bitey fine
Updated with Gamescom trailers
***Updated*** New screenshots (and now trailers too - woot!) of Resident Evil: Revelations have risen from their Gamescom graves and shuffled into our inboxes with the kind of moan usually reserved for Saturday morning hangover woe. But that doesn't mean they're not utterly welcome - Resi Revelations is looking fantastic and easily the best-looking 3DS game to date. So open your eyes wide and let it into your lovely, juicy brain...
Here's the main cinematic trailer, which shows us the shady 'Veltro' organisation, who seem to want to infect the seas of Earth with a new virus, which apparently turns fish into monster fish. That's evil and they must be stopped, which is presumably where you come in.
Then theres' the first gameplay trailer, which shows some 'prone' shooting gameplay as Chris lies injured in an icy cave, somewhat reminiscent of Dead Space 2, if you know the bit I'm talking about...
And in this second gameplay trailer, Chris spots a 'Biohazard' warning sign... and opens the door anyway. Looks like big muscles don't always make for big brains.
Looks great, doesn't it? I'm not entirely convinced by the gunplay, but Resi is known for deliberately making it cumbersome so that there's a greater sense of peril.
Still, from an aesthetic point of view, it's looking way slicker even than Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, which is quite the looker in its own right. These newscreenshots give you time to take in these sumptuous visuals without the risk of getting your head chewed off:
Above: "Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?" "No, but I will bite your thumbs"

Above: "OK, open wide and say... AAAARGH!"
Above: That's Jessica, who apparently likes to make lots of grunting noises when she's traversing caves
Above: What do you reckon? Bordering on Xbox 360-quality graphics?
Above: Another look at that 'Biohazard' container. Not sure a gun is going to protect you against a virus, bud
Above: Ah, good old videogames. Mixing hostile environments with wholly inappropriate clothing since 1980
Above: This computer terminal survived the crash because... the walls are made out of someone's mattress
It seems Chris and his new partner Jessica have their own storyline running parallel to Jill's. Let's hope they can escape before Jessica turns into a flesh-eating monster, or dies of hypothermia from wearing shorts and tights in an arctic wasteland. One of them's a certainty, but which will come first?
If three videos and these new screenshaven't satisfied your craving for Resi Revelations, there are a few more new screens and lots of old images in ourscreenshot archive.
