If Dangoro is the new Geodude, Koromori is definitely the new Zubat – Koromori even evolves into Kokoromori via Happiness, like Golbat evolves into Crobat. Based on looks alone, Koromori and Kokoromori are two of our favorite new Pokemon, and their Psychic/Flying dual type is an interesting combo.
It's a bit sad then that Kokoromori has a few things going against it gameplay-wise. First, its signature move, Heart Stamp (a base power 60 Psychic attack) is a physical attack despite Kokoromori's special attack stat being much higher than its attack stat. And speaking of stats, Kokoromori is also outclassed in all but its speed stat by another Psychic/Flying Pokemon introduced this generation, Shimbora (#561), who we'll cover in a later spotlight.Besides that, it'stough not to compare Kokoromori to Crobat, which isn't really fair, butthe awesome Crobat also outclasses Kokoromori inevery respect.
We still love these guys, though, and if you need a Pokemon in your party to teach Fly, you could do worse than Kokoromori. Sometimes it's about more than stats, you know?
