PS5 Pro discounts are exceedingly rare in Australia, but you can grab one for AU$100 off at the moment

PS5 Pro is Sony's premium console and, as a result, it doesn't get discounted very often. At a time when even the vanilla PS5 is seeing price increases, PS5 Pro discounts feel like a little too much to wish for.

Consider my expectations defied: EB Games' eBay store is currently offering the PS5 Pro for AU$1,099, which is AU$100 off the RRP. This isn't an all-time low. In fact, a similar AU$100 discount was offered back in November last year. Nevertheless, if you're in the market for Sony's big-spender console, with all the extra frames and Ps it offers, now is a good time to snap.

To grab the AU$100 discount, simply head to the EB Games eBay PS5 Pro listing, and use the discount code SSNOW at checkout.

Save AU$100

Using the coupon code SSNOW at checkout, you can cop a full AU$100 off the RRP of the PS5 Pro. Sure, it doesn't exactly make this mid-gen refresh affordable, but if you're getting one anyway, this is a great deal. Do keep in mind that it's definitely one for super-enthusiasts, as our PS5 Pro review points out: "The PS5 Pro only suits its price tag in niche circumstances, but it does deliver on its promise to improve both graphics and framerates."

I should reiterate that it's pretty unlikely the PS5 Pro will get a permanent price drop anytime soon, nor any discounts that will meaningfully better this current offer. The vanilla PS5 RRP is AU$829.95, which is AU$80 more than its 2020 launch price.

It's a pretty expensive time to love gaming, yes, but there are silver linings. The forthcoming EOFY sales should see some dramatic discounts on PS5 games, though don't expect much in the way of console discounts. And in a world where new blockbuster titles like Borderlands 3 are set to cost around the AU$125 mark, we can take refuge in the fact that one of the best games of the last decade can be had for AU$6.75. You won't need a PS5 Pro to get the best out of it either.
