Pacific Rim has released a brand new TV spot online, jam-packed with some pretty epic action scenes from Guillermo del Toro’s sci-fi extravaganza.
While recent material has focused on the dynamic between Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi’s neurally-linked co-pilots, this latest teaser is all about the Kaiju vs. Jaeger mayhem.
Cue a giant Kaiju ploughing through a bridge, a Jaeger getting knocked on its backside and all manner of ruined cityscapes caught in the crossfire.

The film will take place in a future version of Earth, in which mankind has built a fleet of giant robots known as Jaegers to fight off the marauding alien race known as the Kaiju. The battle is slipping away from the home team’s side, but can Hunnam and Kikuchi turn the tide, before it’s too late?
Directed by del Toro and co-starring Idris Elba, Ron Perlman and Charlie Day, Pacific Rim will open in the UK on 12 July 2013.
