New trailer for Taken 2: watch now

Taken 2 has released a new international trailer that's a little more streamlined than the first one, with less time devoted to establishing the set-up and more spent on the kind of balls to the wall mayhem that made the first film such a success.

Liam Neeson returns as former CIA man Bryan Mills, who finds his loved ones targeted once more during a family holiday to Istanbul. This time around, he's up against the father of one of the goons he dispatched in the first film, and the old boy is out for some payback.

Happily, Mills never met a fight he didn't enjoy, and it isn't long before he's snapping limbs left right and centre in order to get his wife (Famke Janssen) back. This time he's got daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) on hand to help him, so at least that's one less person to worry about.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

A trailer for Taken 2 feels almost redundant since we already know exactly what we'll be getting, but that's not to say it isn't plenty of fun, with Neeson perfecting his best grimace before tearing strips of those foolhardy kidnappers.

Directed by Olivier Megaton and co-starring Rade Sherbedgia and Luke Grimes, Taken 2 will open in the UK on 5 October 2012. This time it's personal… again.
