New Prometheus TV spot reveals more footage: watch online now

Prometheus has been stirring up a fair bit of excitement in the Total Film office, and that's unlikely to diminish with the arrival of a new TV spot that reveals subtle glimpses of new footage.

The thought of Ridley Scott returning to the Alien universe, and to the genre in which he made his two greatest films, was a thrilling enough prospect in itself, but each new trailer and piece of viral footage has further given us cause to believe that this could easily be one of this year's best.

This new TV spot offers a few new snippets for eagle-eyed fans, including Noomi Rapace's Elizabeth Shaw caught in a clinch with boyfriend and fellow crew-member Charlie (Logan Marshall-Green, who has a more than bit of the 'Tom Hardy' about him). Presumably this happens before the acid-blood hits the fan...

There's also a startlingly ominous warning from Charlize Theron's Meredith Vickers.

Prometheus opens on 1 June 2012, which means it'll plug the gap nicely between The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises . Hold on a second while we pinch ourselves again…
