It's all been quiet on the Crysis front for a while now but this new trailer offers us a glimpse of Crytek's revolutionary shooter at work, albeit in a more laid back mood than we've seen before.
The video acts as a flyover of a new jungle/beach base location, with AI soldiers galloping between patrols. Hit the Movies tab above and look for "Crysis - Flythrough trailer 12-06-06"to see the footage.
So what does the video tell us? Crysis is obviously a huge game - you can see for digital miles in this clip - and we'd be surprised if you couldn't reach any point that you can spy, much like some of Far Cry's most impressive moments.
With regard to AI, we can watch as soldiers go about their business, trotting on patrol and saluting one another with rigorous efficiency. Towards the end, though, there's aguy with a huge gun watching over his comrades as they pick at the ruined corpse of an alien mech - does this hint at a dynamic environment where aliens and soldiers clash even when you're not around?
We'll be looking to grasp Crysis' full potential - which surely has yet to be fully revealed - during our next hands-on with this ever-intriguing shooter. Stick around.
