The Hollywood Reporter did what it does best today and reported that Steven Moffat, the double-Hugo Award-winning writer of Who episodes “The Empty Child” and “The Girl in the Fireplace”, will be performing scripting duties on the new Tintin movies.
The proposed trilogy has some pedigree. Some guys called Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson have signed up to direct the first two instalments, with the third name still to be announced. The films will use motion-capture technology in the Beowulf mould to make the quaffed one 3D, and given the franchise’s mega-popularity around the globe (200 million sold and counting) this should be a licence to print money.
