While Bryan Singer has been busy negotiating the returns of several familiar faces for X-Men: Days Of Future Past , January Jones has come out and said she doesn’t think she’s going to be one of them.
Jones played the scheming Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class , with the end of that film positioning her as one of Magneto’s acolytes, but it sounds as though she won’t be reprising the role for Singer.
“I don’t know that I’m in it,” she says. “I don’t think Emma’s in this one. Well they haven’t told me if I am! I wouldn’t put it past them though, I got the script for the first one on the airplane on the way there.
“I think it’s more about James [ McAvoy ] and Michael [ Fassbender ] and then Patrick [ Stewart ] and Ian [ McKellen ], and I think it’s gonna go back and forth with those so I don’t think Emma’s in those bits. I don’t know, I really don’t know.”
Looks like that jumpsuit will be staying firmly in the wardrobe, then. Pity. X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens in the UK on 18 July 2014.
