Sad about the home of Being Human and In The Flesh going off air? Tell us what you think about the future of TV for an upcoming issue of the magazine [updated]
The BBC recently announced that BBC Three – the TV channel that gave rise to a new generation of comedy and genre shows – will become a digital-only channel next year.
What do you think about this news? Did you watch BBC Three a lot? Being Human , In The Flesh , Torchwood , not to mention endless re-runs of Family Guy , made it a part of our staple TV diet around these parts, but do youngsters today really watch broadcast TV anyway? Maybe iPlayer is the best place for this sort of stuff?
We're compiling SFX magazine's latest letters pages right now and we want your thoughts on this hot topic. Will you miss BBC Three? And on a broader scale, are you prepared to change the way you watch your favourite shows? Let's face it, with the likes of Marvel and From Dusk Till Dawn looking to Netflix as an outlet for programming, maybe TV's days are numbered altogether...
Post in the comment thread below, head to the forum , or (better still) email us at sfx@futurenet.com (marking your email HOT TOPIC). You can also tweet us at @sfxmagazine , using the hashtag #sfxhottopic, join us on Facebook or, if the Royal Mail's your thing, send an actual physical letter to SFX, Future Publishing, 30 Monmouth Street, Bath, BA1 2BW, UK, Earth.
Let us know your thoughts and we’ll print the best in SFX issue 248. (And of course you can chat to us about anything in fact – any burning topic or idle musing you want to share with the SF universe. Do you think Oscar-winning Gravity is science fiction, or do you have something to say about the Guardians Of The Galaxy trailer?) Please do get writing!
