I've been an avid Steam Deck user since Valve released the handheld three years ago and, over the years, I've discovered there are some accessories that you can't do without. For anyone searching for the best Cyber Monday gaming deals for their Deck, I'd always recommend looking for a microSD, and the good news is that this year, my favorite (the Samsung PRO Plus 1TB microSD) is now discounted by 33%.

In terms of the best all-rounder when it comes to Steam Deck microSD cards, the Samsung PRO Plus is the best out there. Carrying on from its price cut last week as part of the best Black Friday Steam Deck deals, the card is now $79.99 compared to its normal price of $119.99. Not only does it offer 1TB of additional space to store your games, but it has a very respectable read and write speeds of 180MB/s - meaning faster launch times and great performance as well.

Should you buy the Samsung PRO Plus microSD?

One of the Steam Deck's biggest issues is storage. To really get the most out of your handheld, you're going to need to get a microSD card at some point. And after years of trying different sizes and having to upgrade again and again, I can personally say that getting a 1TB option will save you time and money in the future. Games are getting bigger and more demanding, and the Samsung PRO Plus microSD is one of the few on the market that offers 1TB at all.

Not only will you get more storage with the Samsung PRO Plus, but it also has a U3 rating (Ultra-High Speed Class 3) with read and write speeds of 180MB/s. So, it's an industry standard and very trustworthy as well. In terms of speed, the only microSD that I say ranks ahead of the Samsung PRO Plus is the SanDisk Extreme Pro, and there are currently no sales for a 1TB option on Amazon for that right now.

So yeah, the Samsung PRO Plus is currently the best microSD deal for the Steam Deck this Cyber Monday, and honestly, I can't recommend it enough. The only thing to really consider before picking it up is that we have seen it go for even cheaper in the past. Back in October this year, it was discounted to $69.99, beating this event's $79.99. Personally, I think the discount is still very much worth it, but you may want to consider holding off for now if you want to try and get the absolutely lowest price for this one.
