Arc Raiders patch fixes notorious Stella Montis Seed Vault extract, and removes Buried City guitar puzzle that was "damn near impossible" entirely

The Headwinds update is now live for Arc Raiders, filling the city with birds and giving players a new mode to play around in. The Seed Vault extract on Stella Montis has been sorted, and that damned puzzle for the guitar in Buried City has been switched off.

Yes, you read that right. Most people familiar with the extraction shooter will be familiar, but for those who aren't, Buried City contains a map-wide orienteering exercise you can complete to get some nice guitars. It involves pressing 15 buttons across the whole location in a particular order.

It's frustrating to do, since you’re still dealing with arcs and other players in the meantime. This patch just puts the guitars in Shani's shop to buy instead, and people are palpably relieved. "That puzzle was damn near impossible unless you waited 'til the last six-to-ten minutes and still not guaranteed," says one commenter on Reddit. "At least you can purchase it now."

Others lament losing the side-quest entirely, preferring the "thrill of the chase," as another Redditor put it. "60+ stims, ten lure grenades, nine zip lines, and three hours," another commenter states, outlining what it took to do it solo. Embark must have been looking at these states and realized the risk didn’t line up with the reward.

Specifically on Stella Montis, players won't be able to hide in the Seed Vault after the extract goes off and pop others as they enter. Anything that makes the lives of sneaky, no-good campers harder is a plus, and this is definitely one of those things.

The usual array of fixes and minor alterations make up the rest of the patch notes. This kicks off the Arc Raiders 2026 roadmap, and it seems like nothing is off limits for tinkering from Embark.

Arc Raiders players have found a real-life Stella Montis in Italy, and they're leaving hilarious reviews: "The Shredders are a bit of a nuisance."
