Rivage is like Blue Prince in space as you puzzle your way to finding your missing crew in a time loop
An all new FGS Live trailer gives us a fresh look at this intergalactic narrative mystery
Nothing ramps up the tension like getting trapped on a space station while you have to deal with puzzles, investigations, space phenomena, and a time loop. So the new trailer for Rivage's atmospheric sci-fi puzzle adventure, revealed during FGS Live, is probably not one for people with high blood pressure.
Set in the 25th century, Rivage sees you playing as Miranda, a woman who wakes up alone on the A.R.E.S. space station. Originally built to study the planet of VESTA, a potential new home for humanity, it's now seemingly abandoned. As a result, Miranda must deal with the distortions that have consumed the station, while trying to uncover what happened to the crew.
This is as much about investigating what happened, as it is puzzle solving. While the crew are gone, A.R.E.S. remains a detailed and very interactive place where you can examine items, artefacts and notes to learn about the crew. While piecing together their relationships and what they were going through - alone and light-years from home. There's meaning everywhere if you know where to look.
However, to progress and find the information you need, you'll have to explore, progress and puzzle-solve your way though the station - it's all connected. So while you might be fixing things, or getting past environmental challenges by manipulating stuff like gravity, magnetism and even time, it all feeds back into the story. However, as you loop time, logging discoveries and banking the puzzles you clear, you might discover there's a cost to your actions.
Rivage is coming to Steam on September 22 and you can follow developer Exnilo Studio on X for more.
