Neon Abyss 2 is leaving early access on Steam and unleashing its 1.0 chaos on PS5, Switch and Xbox
Conquer the Abyss with up to three friends in a game shaped by its Early Access community
The neon-drenched, cyber-pixel chaos of Steam roguelike Neon Abyss 2 will be leaving Early Access in Fall 2026, as revealed in an all-new trailer at FGS Live from Gamescom. Not only is it leaving Early Access, but the 1.0 launch will be coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X, and is available day one on Game Pass.
This is a game built by its players since its Early Access launch in 2025 - with big updates like Fatal Carnival and Glimmer Heist adding characters, bosses, modes and mechanics all developed from feedback. Meaning the 1.0 release is the culmination of its community over the last year.
That's created a fast, up to four-player co-op roguelike action platformer that sees you and exploring and blasting your way through the Abyss - a pixelated cyberpunk, mythology-inspired world. Combat is a lively mix of out-there weapons where you can use dragon-like creatures to fight for you one minute, or unleash attacks from deadly plants the next. Plus you can batter foes up close with bat and sabers. It's all about finding unique ways to kill that suit you, experimenting with your own loadout, and how it interacts with your friends.
At the same time the drops you can pick up grant you powers that combine and stack in unusual and surprising ways, while the Abyss companions you collect evolve into powerful and unique allies. It all combines to make every run unique as your weapons, abilities, companions all work together, between you and your friends.
Neon Abyss 2 will be entering its 1.0 release on Steam, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X (day one with Game Pass) in Fall 2026. Follow the game on X and TikTok for more.
