The upcoming Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest is the perfect way to get a first look at Guerrilla's newly announced entry in the Horizon series, which pitches cooperative teams of up to three Hunters against deadly machine threats. This initial beta test will take place at the end of February on both PS5 and PC, but you need to register your interest to be in with a chance of participating. To find out more, here's how to sign up for the Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest on PS5 and PC.
How to join the Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest
To sign up for the Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest, you just need to follow this link to the PlayStation Beta Program and you should get a pop up saying "Success! Thank you for showing interest in this beta. Future communications will be emailed to you." You'll need to be signed in on your PSN account for this automatic registration to complete, and if you're a PC player who doesn't have one already then you'll need to create a PSN account in order to take part in this first look at Horizon Hunters Gathering.
Ultimately you'll want to have a PSN account for this anyway, as one will be required for crossplay between PS5 and PC, plus you'll get cross-progression over both platforms as long as you log in with the same PlayStation account. Do note that this initial beta at the end of February is a "first, small-scale closed playtest" so registration in no way guarantees access, though if you don't receive further details via email then Guerrilla have promised that "unsuccessful applicants will have further opportunities to playtest the game later in 2026."
In the meantime you can wishlist Horizon Hunters Gathering on PlayStation 5 or PC via Steam, and join the official Discord for the latest news.
