Here's my pick of the 5 best Xbox Games Showcase trailers that are a must watch – and it's not just the biggest games
The Xbox Games Showcase trailers include some super fun surprises
There were a ton of excellent Xbox Games Showcase trailers that dropped as part of the 2026 showcase stream, giving us fresh looks at games like Clockwork Revolution or the long-awaited State of Decay 3. But, even if you incorporate those, the reveal of Persona 6 with a very small teaser trailer, gameplay for Fable and tons for Gears of War E-Day, these are – for me – the best Xbox Games Showcase trailers from the show.
Of course, you're welcome to disagree. You're wrong. But, let me know in the comments what you think were better than these as trailers themselves.
Trailer: Bad Magpie
One of my favorite trailers from the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is for a new title from a UK developer studio called Milktooth. This is Bad Magpie, a game about, you guessed it, a bad magpie. From the early shot of the magpie's face holding a lit branch against a terrifying flower, I knew we were in for a good one. This one is out next year.
Trailer: Spyro: A Realm Beyond
I – and a whole bunch of the GamesRadar+ team – have been waiting for a new Spyro for some time now. Our favorite purple dragon may have had a remake in recent years, but something new just had to be on the cards. The second that purple font appeared on screen, the team just exploded with excitement in our various Slack channels. And even though Spyro's suddenly looking like a teenager, this is still an epic announcement trailer.
Trailer: Vivarium
Another smaller game from the showcase, Vivarium is one of those trailers I'll remember for a while – and it made me immediately add the game to my wishlist. It's channeling '90s anime cartoons perfectly, with touches of Studio Ghibli, for a game that feels really unique. Absolutely seamless.
Trailer: Senua
I personally didn't see Senua coming. Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 was released at the end of 2024, and the first game came out in 2017, so I imagined we had a few years to wait for the reveal of any further titles – if ever. But here's Senua, a new game in the series that's ribboned with gold, as stunning as ever, but with a much brighter and positive vibe than anything we've seen in the games before.
Trailer: Crazy Taxi: World Tour
Another one I really didn't see coming. Crazy Taxi is back. With The Offspring as a soundtrack, this trailer was so much fun. It all feels wonderfully familiar as Axel rides around a familiar city, until some random person sends him on a global adventure. We're so in.
