Fueled by the sequel, Stellar Blade diehard begins multi-year quest to kill the final boss every day until Blood Rain and Evie finally arrive
Some of us have other hobbies, but go off I guess
This is what no Stellar Blade: Blood Rain release date does to you: One headstrong player has started a new daily routine where they kill the final boss of the first Stellar Blade until the sequel comes out.
A few weeks ago, Reddit user SomeoneNew1111 posted a video titled "Day 1 of defeating Elder Naytiba until Stellar Blade: Blood Rain releases." And they weren't joking—they returned the next day with video proof of them doing it all over again.
When someone asked if they plan on fighting the game's other final boss, SomeoneNew1111 explained why they won't be doing that.
"The Eldar Naytiba is the climactic and symbolic conclusion to the game," they wrote. "It makes sense to celebrate the countdown to Blood Rain with this boss."
Thematic resonance is apparently important to SomeoneNew1111 despite the absurdity of their mission. Currently, they're on day 12 of fighting the boss and don't show any signs of stopping.
They might be going at it for a while though. Stellar Blade: Blood Rain doesn't have a release date or even a release window. All we know is that developer Shift Up says it's "still in early development," and that it doesn't have much to show just yet.
SomeoneNew1111 might be locked in a room with the final boss for another year or two. I suspect they're going to start trying to fight the boss in different ways to keep things interesting. Maybe they'll even take requests. My vote? Do it blindfolded.
Stellar Blade: Blood Rain's Evie is more than just "physical attractiveness," Shift Up insists, but devs are taking notes from infamously horny Goddess of Victory: Nikke regardless
