Game of Thrones season 7 is already rumoured to be filled with returns, shock alliances and Dorne getting good (we’ll see…). Now add one more returning face to the ensemble cast – someone whose fate has been up in the air since Game of Thrones season 6 finished. Beware, the Wall of spoilers can only hold for so long…
Watchers on the Wall have eyes everywhere – like the three-eyed Raven – and they show that everyone’s favourite undead Stark, Benjen (played by Joseph Mawle) has been spotted near filming locations in Belfast with Iain Glen (Jorah) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund). Kit Harington has also been seen in the Northern Irish capital.

This follows on from previous rumours of a large-scale battle taking place in a quarry beyond the Wall. We last saw Benjen escorting Bran and Meera to the Wall but having to turn back because he’s, well… a bit dead. This battle could bring Benjen back into the fold in a big way.
Right then, who’s looking forward to Uncle Ben (no, not that one) possibly teaming up with Jon, Jorah and Tormund to fight off an army of White Walkers? Expect plenty of man-hugs and sad times.
Game of Thrones season 7 will debut in summer 2017.

I'm the Senior Entertainment Writer here at GamesRadar+, focusing on news, features, and interviews with some of the biggest names in film and TV. On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
