Game Freak and Sega tease an elephant-ary collaboration

What has a long trunk, loves peanuts and hand grenades, and is made by the studio behind Pokemon? I have no clue, but it looks like we're going to find out on March 11, a date which Game Freak and Sega have teased in relation to an unannounced project.

The teaser image, which Sega tweeted out on Thursday, features what appears to be a pair of cartoon elephants, one wearing a snazzy army-green pouch as it tromps off to the right and the other poking its trunk in from the left. Between them lies a trail of peanuts, a hand grenade, and an anomalous trail of, ew, is that elephant snot?

Is the one on the left launching peanuts and grenades at the one on the right, like some kind of elephantine Worms? Because that actually sounds pretty alright. Whatever it's doing, we won't have to wait too much longer to find out.

Game Freak is best known for creating the Pokemon series, which it runs in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. It's made a few non-Pocket Monster games since then, including Drill Dozer, HarmoKnight, and horse-racing-solitaire game Solitiba, which debuted on mobile.

Chances are good that this new game will be a mobile title as well, considering Sega's recent focus on Android and iOS.
