With the wait for the next season likely a year away at best, you might be tempted to pick up where the Invincible season 4 ending left off in Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley's seminal superhero comics.
But with dozens of issues and a (heavy) handful of compendiums out there, you may be none the wiser on where to start reading after Invincible season 4 – especially if you want to tiptoe around future spoilers ahead in Kirkman's purported eight-season plan.
With that in mind, we've put together a spoiler-free guide on where to pick up the Invincible comics after season 4, ensuring you can read to your heart's content while you wait for Invincible season 5.

While the Prime Video series isn't an exact 1-1 adaptation of the comics, it's clear that Invincible season 4 ends in pretty much the same spot as Invincible issues #77- #78.
Both versions of the story see the Viltrumite war come to a low-key conclusion, with Mark allowing their people to peacefully – and covertly – exist on Earth. Issue #78, in particular, kickstarts the next arc with Thaddeus' message to Allen about the Scourge Virus and the ultimate Plan B: to purge the universe of all Viltrumites, friend or foe.
So, if you're planning on reading the comics after Invincible season 4, you should pick up Invincible #79 and go from there. The complete series has 144 issues, meaning we're past the halfway point now.
If you're looking to pick up physical copies of the comics, Invincible #79 is part of the second compendium or – if you're lacking shelf space – volume 14.

I'm the Senior Entertainment Writer here at GamesRadar+, focusing on news, features, and interviews with some of the biggest names in film and TV. On-site, you'll find me marveling at Marvel and providing analysis and room temperature takes on the newest films, Star Wars and, of course, anime. Outside of GR, I love getting lost in a good 100-hour JRPG, Warzone, and kicking back on the (virtual) field with Football Manager. My work has also been featured in OPM, FourFourTwo, and Game Revolution.
