Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is bringing the MCU back to Hell's Kitchen for another round of the Man Without Fear versus Kingpin, but there's at least one exciting addition to this season's cast that we can't wait to see.
That's right – Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones is making her long-awaited return to the small screen to join forces with Daredevil for the first time in almost a decade. But, of course, her casting only prompted further questions: will Luke Cage and Iron Fist join her?
So, are the Defenders in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, or can we just expect Matt and Jessica to pair up? We've got everything you need to know right here.
Where is Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again season 2?
Jessica Jones and her trademark leather jacket are definitely going to appear at some point in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, as Krysten Ritter appeared in the show's trailer, but we just don't know when yet. She's not in the season premiere, but there are still seven episodes left to go.
"What's really fun about that character is the time jump from the last time we saw her. It's been a while," Marvel boss Brad Winderbaum said earlier this year "So, we're re-establishing this character and catching the audience up to what the hell she's been up to, and that is filled with a lot of very cool surprises."
We haven't seen the sharp-tongued superhero turned PI since her Netflix show was cancelled after three seasons in 2019. That's a pretty long time, so we're excited to see what she's been up to since.
Where are the other Defenders in Daredevil: Born Again season 2?
So, Jessica Jones' involvement is a sure thing, but what about the other Defenders? Luke Cage and Iron Fist haven't made any appearances in the MCU since their respective Netflix shows were cancelled in 2018, but could they be about to follow their fellow Defender back into Hell's Kitchen?

Well, anything is possible, but their involvement hasn't been confirmed ahead of release. So, it's looking fairly unlikely, considering the number of leaked set photos coming out of New York during production, but there have been plenty of rumors.
Luke Cage actor Mike Colter has even fanned the flames himself, saying, "Listen, I will say this, I've had conversations... and I'll leave it at that. Because when it wrapped... y'know I loved playing Luke Cage but I love acting and doing different things. So I just was like, 'I'll do something else.' I love the fans and I love that world. And it's been years now. So now, I'm doing other projects, but now I think to myself 'I have some unfinished business there.'"
While he's not a Defender, Ritter and Colter's Netflix-verse co-star Jon Bernthal won't be back as Punisher for season 2. That's because he's got his own Punisher TV special, which is coming to Disney Plus in May.
