A new trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has arrived, and it'll give you chills.
In the trailer, which you can watch above, we see a quiet rebellion beginning to brew among the tributes of the Second Quarter Quell as Haymitch meets his allies. We also get a glimpse at what he's up against, with a terrifying shot of Haymitch running full pelt away from what appears to be the arena's volcano erupting.
Stealing the show, though, is Ralph Fiennes's President Snow. The actor puts his chilling mark on the series's villain, threatening Haymitch with "the longest, most drawn-out death your people have ever seen."
Article continues belowThe film is based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins, and it's set between The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and the main Hunger Games trilogy. It follows Haymitch Abernathy, the future mentor to Katniss and Peeta, and his nightmarish experience in the Second Quarter Quell when he was just 16 years old.
As those who have read the book know, Haymitch journey through the games brings him into contact with some familiar faces, and it's as heart-breaking and pulse-pounding a ride as all the other trips to the arena.
Joseph Zada plays Haymitch, while Elle Fanning is Effie Trinket, Fiennes is President Snow, Jesse Plemons is Plutarch Heavensbee, Kieran Culkin is Caesar Flickerman, Glenn Close is Drusilla Sickle, Whitney Peak is Lenore Dove Baird, and McKenna Grace is Maysilee Donner. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will also be returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.
Sunrise on the Reaping arrives this November 20. In the meantime, check out our guide to the most exciting upcoming movies to get planning your theater trips.
