As confirmed by the man himself, Dwayne Johnson will play Roadblock in G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes .
He tweeted: “It’s official: Call the Pentagon, get me my big ass gun – Rocks a JOE!.”
The wrestler turned actor has officially signed up to the G.I. Joe sequel, which will be directed by Jon Chu.
After a slew of popular but critically mauled family flicks, it seems as though Johnson is throwing himself wholeheartedly back into action movies, such as recent efforts Faster and Fast Five .
He's rumoured to be joining Channing Tatum, Lee Byung-hun and Ray Park, the only actors expected to reprise their roles from the first film.
G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes is due for release next summer.
