Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location October 2-4. Immolation Fists!

Xur, Destiny's weekend merchant and all-round lover of puppies, is back in the Tower for another weekend of Exotic tomfoolery. Got some Strange Coins spare in your inventory? You can exchange them for various pieces of Exotic armour, Engrams, and other little delights that Xur has stashed in that long dark cloak of his. Today, Xur Agent of the Nine is over in the North Tower, just across from The Speaker, so head over there and get shopping. What can you buy? Well, it's a disappointing selection this week.

Celestial Nighthawk (Hunter Exotic Helmet) - 13 Strange Coins

Well that's disappointing. The lack of a new Exotic weapon - or even a buffed up Year One firearm - is pretty poor form from Xur. So let's look at those armour pieces. The headline act is Heart of the Praxic Fire, which provides some great boosts for Sunsinger Warlocks. Anyone looking to tackle Nighfalls with Void Burn active will find this VERY useful. The Titan's Immolation Fists grant Explosive Pyre, which is where your Hammer of Sol chains kills together, so if you've got a Titan build that relies heavily on its Sunbreaker Super, these are worth picking up. And Celestial Nighthawk for your Hunter? Well, it's really not the best Exotic for that class - the 6x damage from your first Golden Gun shot is handy against bosses and Ultras, but it's a bit of a waste of your only armour Exotic slot.

Might be best to gamble with the Exotic Helmet Engram this week, if you need to spend your coins. And if they're really burning a hole in your pocket, you can always drop 31 Strange Coins on an Exotic Weapon Engram. Buyer beware - this Engram will grant you a random Year One Exotic, at Year One stats, so don't expect anything too fancy. Hey, maybe it'll complete your collection of Shotguns or something... And yeah, you can pick up a stack of Three of Coins for 7SC, if you want to increase your chance of Exotic Engram drops during Strikes and Raids.

As ever, Xur will be available from now until 10am UK / 2am Pacific on Sunday 4 October. After that, he's gone for another week...
