ZeniMax copyrights Skyrim's Fus Ro Dah, but soon you can shout it at your Kinect

Official Kinect support is in bound for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Today, Bethesda announced it will be uploading a title update that will add over 200 Kinect voice commands sometime this month, giving players vocal control over dragon shouts, companion commands, menu actions, and hotkey equipping. The Kinect controls will also allow Dragonborn to verbally instruct their game to save and load, organize their inventories, and generally treat their Xbox 360 like an indentured housecarl.

In related news, Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media has been spotted obtaining six separate trademarks for the “Fus Ro Dah” dragon shout. The filings, listed in detail at GameInformer, cover everything from “Fus Ro Dah's” use in any and all digital products, print publications, physicals bags (i.e backpacks, duffel bags, cosmetic bags, etc.), clothing, toys, and entertainment services.

When asked why it was buying full rights to the “Fus Ro Dah” dragon shout, ZeniMax said it was “Just protecting our brand.”

That's all well and good, but what are we going to do with our boxes of “Fus Ro Dah” wedding favors?
