Valve launches Steam Holiday Sale with Epic Holiday Giveaway

Valve has kicked off a Steam Holiday Sale featuring daily deals of up to 75% off some of the most popular titles on the digital download service. Not content with savings alone, the studio is sweetening the pot with an Epic Holiday Giveaway that will see members gifted with prizes for completing in-game objectives, and one lucky gamer will win every game in Steam's massive library.

The main winner will be announced on January 2, along with 50 first prize winners, who will receive the top ten items on their wishlist; 100 second prize winners, who will get the top five items on their wishlist, and 1,000 third prize winners, who will walk away with a Valve Complete Pack.

The deals themselves are equally generous. Today's sale, for example, includes 75% off the Portal series, Fable 3, and the Sam & Max franchise. Keep tabs on the daily giveaways, and cash in your Steam freebies, at the promotion page.
