Watch Ghost Recon Wildlands helicopter, dirtbike, and belly crawl across Bolivia

Ubisoft has published the first all-new trailer for Ghost Recon Wildlands since it was announced last year, showing off the diverse South American locations featured in its sprawling open-world depiction of Bolivia and how your team will get around. Do special forces teams normally ride around on dirt bikes? Actually, don't answer that.

The trailer looks neat, though the way the narration sets up the premise gives me pause. I'm a little worried about the US government deputizing a gang of operatives to rove around on foreign soil and do more or less whatever they want to take down a drug cartel. At least it looks like they're having a good time.

We still don't have a release date for Wildlands, but Ubisoft revealed along with the trailer that a season pass for the game will add "two major expansions and equipment packs" after it comes out. The Ghost Recon Wildlands Gold Edition will include both the season pass and the game's Deluxe Edition, which has in-game goods like a Huntsman rifle and motorbike, extra customization items, and an XP booster.

There's also a pre-order bonus (of course): a mission titled "The Peruvian Connection" which sends players into the mountains of Bolivia to take on a new drug cartel. Wildlands allows for both single-player and four-player co-op, so I'm not sure if your whole squad will need to pre-order the game to play that mission or not. In any case, hopefully we'll find out more about Ghost Recon Wildlands (like when you can actually buy it) at Ubisoft's E3 2016 conference.
