Thor: The Dark World now contains even more Loki

If news that Loki won't be appearing in Avengers: Age Of Ultron has left you rocking back and forth in horror, fear not, Thor: The Dark World is here to save the day.

Collider reports that director Alan Taylor is adding in even more Loki (Tom Hiddleston) scenes to the comic-book sequel, despite the fact the Thor: TDW is due to open in cinemas in just two months' time.

"We're doing full scenes, scenes that were not in the movie before. We're adding scenes, creating scenes, writing scenes for the first time," Taylor says.

"We realised how well Loki was working in the movie, and we wanted to do more with him. So it was that kind of thing, it was like, 'Oh, we could do this, we could jam this in here because he's such a wonderful guy to watch do his stuff.'"

According to Taylor, the final hour shooting is nothing new, the director having seen Marvel do the same with Avengers and Iron Man 3 - and look how they both turned out.

And, frankly, we can never get enough Loki for our buck. Just another reason to be excited about Thor's second solo adventure...

Thor: The Dark World opens in the UK on 30 October 2013.
