For nearly a decade, James Cameron has hogged the top two places in the all-time box office charts. That's no longer the case, however, because Avengers: Endgame has overtaken Titanic, and is rapidly gaining on Avatar. The biggest movie in the history of the Marvel Cinema Universe could soon be the biggest movie in, well, history.
But has it been worth all the secrecy and the pre-release hype? Was it worth the repeated trips to the cinema to watch it? Did Marvel manage to wrangle the biggest gathering of superheroes in the known universe into something coherent and exciting? Or did you think the whole thing was just a little overblown. Now that we've all had a little time to gather our thoughts on the end of the game, we'd love to know what you made of it for the Hot Topic section in SFX magazine’s reader interaction pages.
Which character was the MVP? And who was badly served by the script? What did you think of the fates of your favourite heroes? Was it funny enough? Did it make you cry? Where does it rank in the pantheon of the MCU – and blockbuster movies in general? And where does Marvel go from here? (The new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home may offer up a few clues...)
A hell of a lot has been said about this movie already, but this is your chance to have your thoughts immortalised in print! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, post a comment below, or tweet at @SFXmagazine using the hashtag #SFXhottopic. The best contributions will be immortalised on the pages of SFX issue 315 (on sale June 19).
And don't forget, there’s plenty of other things you could talk about. Like the final season of Game of Thrones (have you recovered from “The Bells” yet?. Or Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss being confirmed for the first new Star Wars movie after Episode 9. Were you excited by the trailer for HBO's new Watchmen TV series? Or perhaps you just want to tell us how much you love our current Good Omens issue? All compliments gratefully received!
