Moody trailer for Richard Ayoade's The Double online

We've been excited about The Double , Richard Ayoade's follow-up to his critically acclaimed Submarine , for a while now. And not just because he's our columnist .

Now the first trailer's landed, and it appears our giddiness was entirely justified.

Basically looking like Dostoevsky via Black Swan , this is an artful couple of minutes, enhanced by the presence of blues classic Grinnin' In Your Face by Son House on the soundtrack.

And spoiler-phobes should feel safe, this definitely isn't the sort of trailer that ruins the movie. We've watched it a few times now and we're still not entirely sure what the hell's going on.

But what we do know is this; we like it. We like it a lot.
