LFF kicks off in just 5 days

There’s no doubt that The London Film Festival gets our fair capital cracklin’ for a couple of weeks a year and with 2006 being the 50th anniversary, you can bet it’s going to be quite a humdinger.

It all kicks off next Wednesday, 18 October, with the star-packed premiere of The Last King Of Scotland - which will open the floodgates on a constant stream of Tinseltown favourites, pouring in to preside over their flicks.

Bob Hoskins and Ben Affleck will wave to the crowds before presenting Hollywoodland; Emilio Estevez and an assortment of his colossal cast will roll up for the gala screening of Bobby; Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Tim Burton, Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson are also London-bound to promote various projects. After all that, we have to admit, it’s the prospect of Sacha Baron Cohen’s arrival for the UK premiere of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan that really fluffs our muffler.
