Gears of War: Judgment free execution mode, map out today

Gears of War: Judgment's multiplayer got a free boost today with a new map and mode. Series staple Execution returns to the online battlefield with coup-de-graces as the order of the day, and Haven defrosts an icy new battlefield to roadie run around in.

The pack is accompanied by Judgment's first title update, which addresses several minor multiplayer bug fixes and improvements. Haven will only be available for free for a limited time, so hurry up and hop on some of the new bonus-experience playlists while you're at it.

Both maps are presented by Maxim magazine. We prefer to think Maxim held the content ransom after an undercover heist deep within Epic's offices, only releasing the materials when Epic agreed to its terms. Either way.
