Knowing where to find Darth Vader in Fortnite means you can go head to head with the Sith Lord himself, and defeating him provides one of the only routes to currently get your hands on a lightsaber in the battle royale. He won't hand it over willingly though, so you'll need to emerge victorious from a tough combat encounter if you want to wield the iconic energy weapon yourself in Fortnite. For the lowdown on the Dark Lord during the current Star Wars crossover event, here's everything you need to know about Fortnite Darth Vader including his location and how to defeat him.
Where to find Darth Vader in Fortnite
During previous Star Wars events, finding Darth Vader in Fortnite involved an element of luck as you needed to see where his ship flew in at the start of each match to track him down. There are no such issues this time around, as Darth Vader will always spawn at the Fortnite Imperial Roadblock found on the small island to the north of the map, which is marked on the image above. As you approach the area, you'll be able to see a red glow coming from Vader's ship that has landed just above the main camp.
How to defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite
If you're heading for a fight with Darth Vader in Fortnite then I strongly suggest visiting the Cloistered Castle landmark beforehand, which is the house on the tiny island just to the southeast of Darth Vader's location. There you can stock up on weapons and health supplies, before riding the zipline northwest and getting the attention of the Sith Lord and his two Stormtroopers. You'll want to take care of the Stormtroopers first as their constant E-11 Blaster Rifle shots will wear you down, then you can focus on the big guy.
To defeat Darth Vader, you just need to shoot him a lot. He has 550 shield and 550 health, so it will take a while to wear him down. He can also use his lightsaber to deflect incoming attacks for a short time, so keep the pressure on to stumble him and get some hits in before he recovers. Try and stay out of melee range for his Lightsaber attacks as they will deal significant damage, but he can also use Force attacks to fly through the air towards you or pull you towards him. His saber throw attack is the perfect time to deal damage while he's unprotected, but you'll need to avoid it on the way out and the way back! Defeat Darth Vader in Fortnite, and his lightsaber is yours, plus if you search the nearby Imperial chests then you should find a powerful Fortnite Bowcaster too.
