As we near the end of 2015, more and more trailers for some of next year's big releases are being unveiled. One such release is X-Men: Apocalypse, and though its director Bryan Singer recently revealing that new footage is coming soon, we now know exactly how long we have to wait for the official trailer.
In an interview with Collider, producer Simon Kinberg said that "our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser, but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."
This is a smart decision on the part of 20th Century Fox; there is already a very good chance that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be breaking a ton of records upon its release, and studios will be wise to take advantage of this and attach their trailers to the film. With our first look at 2016's Captain America: Civil War also said to be playing before Episode VII, there's plenty of added incentive to head to your nearest cinema come December 17. Not that you needed it...
Directed by Singer and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will be released in UK cinemas on May 19 2016 before making its way to US theatres on May 27 2016.
