The PC Gamer Weekender is just around the corner, and if you're thinking to yourself, "Cool! ... What's a PC Gamer Weekender?" don't worry. That's what I'm here to tell you.
It's a weekend-long convention that brings together some of the world's biggest companies involved in PC gaming, while also providing plenty of classic, new, and upcoming games available for the public to try. There's workshops where you can learn how to build your own rig, and vendors where you can purchase all the new materials and accessories you could want.
For example: Blizzard will be there. One of the biggest and oldest names in PC gaming, Blizzard will be bringing their flagship shooter Overwatch to the floor, along with a few surprises that will be revealed at a later date.
If you're looking to show off what you've been working on, check out the Common Room. This area allows college-age students to show off what they’ve been working on in the classroom – or just in their spare time.
When you're ready to take a break from the bright light of a computer screen, you can head to the PC Gamer Weekender board game area, sponsored by Esdevium and Games Quest. Unwind with fellow attendees or find your next game night mainstay.
Regardless of where you go, what you see, or how you spend your time, everyone attending the PC Gamer Weekender bags themselves a copy of Mount & Blade. Hey, free game with ticket purchase - it's like one of those "buy a burger, get a free drink" deals, only you probably shouldn't eat this.
