11. How did Ros's grandmother die?
It's a small point, but one worth noting. In the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ending, Ros's grandmother dies - and although I think we all saw it coming, I have to ask, what from? The Greendale Thirteen and The Red Angel of Death were defeated and Ruth Walker was fine and dandy, then suddenly Ros is watching the ghost of her grandmother walk out of the nursing home and into the beyond. Was it all just a bit too much for her? Did her heart finally give out once she knew her granddaughter was safe? She was pretty old so it's possible she simply died from old age and I doubt it'll be a major plot point going forward, but I'm still curious.
12. What is Dr. Cee?
Oomph! When Dr. Cee and Hilda kissed in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ending I nearly punched the air I was so happy. I was so, so hoping they would get together and Hilda would find some happiness - but my joy was short lived when Dr. Cee's eyes flashed yellow as he walked away. He's clearly a supernatural being, but what exactly, and why wouldn't he tell Hilda? She is a witch, after all. Werewolf? Troll? Merman? In a funny twist of fate, could the man who dresses up as a vampire actually be a vampire? It's anyone's guess right now, but I hope he and Hilda can still live happily ever after.
13. How are Zelda and Hilda going to hide Father Blackwood's daughter?
I couldn't believe it when Zelda took one of Father Blackwood's twins to protect her from god-knows-what her father would've done if he'd discovered that his daughter had been born before his son. Let's move swiftly past the excruciating sexism of that situation and move onto how the hell Zelda expects to keep the child a secret?! She tells Hilda: "We can raise her. We've done it before. We'll keep it a secret, you and I. Together, as sisters. Forever and ever." Other than crashing Hilda's budding romance buzz big time and trying to lock her into a lifetime of parenthood (again), Zelda's suggestion is pretty unbelievable. I mean, you can't just keep a child hidden forever. They go all weird and don't learn how to interact with other people properly. Beside, the chances of no one else finding out, at least by accident, is pretty unlikely. Don't forget, Zelda and Hilda aren't the only ones who know about the child… Prudence knows too. And while she obviously went along with the plan at first, there's no telling what could happen in the future.
14. What is Father Blackwood planning with the other warlocks?
Speaking of Father Blackwood and his utterly misogynistic attitude towards… well, everything. What the hell is he planning at the Academy with his group of macho, self-assured warlocks? Honestly, I felt like I was watching a scene from The Riot Club as they all stood around in their gothic tailcoats, arrogantly chanting "Hail Judas! Hail Satan!" and staring at Father Blackwood's son like he was the second coming. "The Church of Night is ours, boys" says Father Blackwood. "This is the Dark Lord's sign. His blessing… that we are in the right." So, what does he think they're in the right about, exactly?
My money is on Father Blackwood and his band of Academy boys leading a movement from within the Church of Night to return to even more stringent and traditional witch values, which will probably see them gain even more power. I just felt sorry for poor Ambrose who's been dragged into it all by his boyfriend and was worriedly looking around the room like he'd suddenly found himself in some kind of cult, desperately searching for an exit before he choked on all the toxic masculinity. Run, Ambrose, run!
15. Why did Sabrina's hair change?
By the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ending, Sabrina has completely different hair, which looks a lot more like her original hairstyle in the comic book. Platinum blonde and much straighter, her bubbly curls are gone and instead she has a much cooler look which screams 'Don't mess with me!' But why did her hair change? I'm pretty sure she didn't do it herself just because she felt like it. It seems like the spell she cast to defeat the Greendale Thirteen was so powerful that it actually turned her hair almost white! Sort of like what happened to Willow in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 7 finale. Whether it stays that way or not, only time will tell...
16. Why is Sabrina suddenly friends with the Weird sisters?
Sabrina's hair isn't the only major change that happened once she finally signed her name in the Book of the Beast. By the finale, she's left her mortal friends behind and apparently enrolled full-time at the Academy, somehow becoming BFFs with the Weird sisters. This seems like fairly odd behaviour given how much Sabrina fought to retain her mortal life before - and even if she couldn't attend Baxter High anymore, why would she be so chummy with the girls who tormented her and killed Tommy? Could it be that Sabrina is undercover searching for a way to release herself from her commitment to the Dark Lord? It would certainly be the safest way to keep everyone in the witch community off her back.
17. Is Sabrina even more powerful now?
Now that Sabrina has signed her name in the Book of the Beast and pledged her allegiance to the Devil, will she gain more witchy powers? Before signing her name, she technically wasn't a full-fledged witch and she still managed to cast plenty of powerful spells including a resurrection. Now that she's given herself fully to the Dark Lord, it's safe to assume that she'll be even more powerful. Given that not long after signing her name, she became one of only four witches who have ever been able to summon Hellfire, I'd say that's true. And with Sabrina attending the Academy, her skills will only grow.
