The Call of Duty 2020 website is now heavily hinting towards the reveal of Black Ops: Cold War

The Black Ops Cold War  website has received another mysterious update, this time hinting heavily towards the Cold War setting that has long been rumoured for Treyarch and Raven Software's next upcoming instalment in the FPS franchise. 

The PawnTakesPawn.com/tv page now plays various clips of American news broadcasts during the Cold War, while the post-it note in the corner of the website now directs users to a third new page on the website, which displays the following image above. 

It's likely the start of a new wild goose chase for the Call of Duty fandom, and more discoveries will no doubt be made over the next few hours as internet sleuths use the new information on the site to learn more about the upcoming game of 2020.

A new page has been added to the Call of Duty 2020 website as Activision continues to tease more about the next instalment in its mammoth first-person shooter series.

The PawnTakesPawn.com/tv website, discovered earlier this week as a part of an ongoing ARG for the reveal of the long-rumoured Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, now features a post-it note with the words "/tangledweb" stuck to the TV on its main page. 

Head to PawnTakesPawn.com/tangledweb, and you'll be able to read a new message that's just as cryptic as all the previous ones, though very much touches on the themes of paranoia, secrecy, and history that the Black Ops series is known for. 

Interestingly enough, the message ends with the phrase "Know Your History", which is the same one that Call of Duty: Warzone players have been randomly received in-game via a mysterious transmission signal intercepting their screen. 

The main page of the website still seems to suggest that a reveal is coming on August 14 (a.k.a. tomorrow!), so we'll be sure to keep our eyes peeled once anything further from this continuing enigma is unravelled. 

Activision has already confirmed that this year's Call of Duty game is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, but that's about all we know so far in terms of official information. Stay tuned to GamesRadar for more news as soon as it lands.
