Bioshock Infinite Competition

Win! A copy of the highly-anticipated sequel, Bioshock Infinite , and an Xbox to play it on

With its uniquely cerebral brand of atmospheric, action-driven, super-powered sci-fi, Bioshock will be remembered as one of the greatest games of the current generation.

The latest in the series, Bioshock Infinite , abandons the iconic setting of the first two games, the nightmarish underwater city of Rapture and takes to the skies. The ultra-stylised steampunk city of Columbia to be precise, built by the US government in the 1800s as a floating world’s fair, but loaded with weaponry to serve as a proto-Death Star. Unfortunately for the US, Columbia seceded after a period of political strife and hasn’t been heard from, until now…

Players step into the boots of Booker DeWitt, former detective faced with one last job – finding Columbia and rescuing a young woman named Elizabeth from her jailer, a creature known as Songbird. During their escape, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond – one that lets Booker augment his own abilities with her world-altering control over the environment that sees Elizabeth tearing holes in the fabric of space and time.

Guns and impossible powers known as Vigors (including telekinesis, possession and electicity manipulation) can be wielded simultaneously; while a grapple gun known as Skyhook can be used for vertigo-inducing travel around the city’s high-speed Sky-Lines and giant zeppelins.

Much more than a simple shooter, the Bioshock series builds worlds that the big screen can only dream of, with a dazzling turn of the century Americana art style; and tackles lofty themes such as the relationship between man and machine, propaganda, patriotism and time travel as a scientific idea. If previous form is anything to go by, the story will be something special too, with the relationship between Booker and Elizabeth providing an emotional anchor all too few games get right.

Bioshock Infinite flies into UK stores on 26 March for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. To be in with a chance of winning a copy and an Xbox, would you kindly answer the question behind this magic link .
