Assassin's Creed 3 DLC: The Battle Hardened released

Ubisoft has released new Assassin's Creed 3 DLC in the form of the Battle Hardened multiplayer pack.

The game’s second add-on introduces three fresh maps (Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu and Saint Pierre) and three new characters (the influential Governor, the resilient Highlander and the fearsome Coyote Man) for the title’s multiplayer component.

The Battle Hardened is available now on Xbox 360 worldwide priced at 800 MS Points (£6.85 / $10). It’s also out now on PS3 in the US for $9.99 (it’ll be released in Europe later today for £7.99 when the PlayStation Store updates), and it’s set to launch on PC for £7.99 / $9.99 on January 15. Assassin's Creed 3 Season Pass holders can download the DLC free of charge.

Ubisoft said previously that it plans to release five Assassin's Creed 3 add-ons in the title’s first six months of availability. The DLC will feature "an all-new single-player campaign" called The Tyranny of King Washington, which is being made available as an episodic story that lets players experience an alternate history of the American Revolution, as well as new single-player missions, multiplayer maps and characters.

The publisher also reiterated this week that all Assassin's Creed 3 DLC will make its way to Wii U at a later date.
