Check out these 15 amazing Game of Thrones season 7 fan theories
Game of Thrones season 8 may turn out to be the shortest yet in terms of episode count, but there could be a lot to those episodes. Series sound designer Paula Fairfield revealed at Con of Thrones (a fan convention held last weekend in Nashville, Tennessee) that the show's producers are considering 'feature-length' shows for all 6 episodes. She also revealed the runtime for the Game of Thrones season 7 finale.
David Chen (who hosted a different panel celebrating the still-alive actors of the show's many dead characters) shared the following from the convention.

Fairfield just said the Season 7 finale of GAME OF THRONES will be 82 mins. Final season they're considering making each ep feature length!July 1, 2017
Feature-length implies at least an hour and a half for each episode. With six such episodes, that would equal 9 hours worth of runtime - so about a regular season, then, just with fewer breaks. Fairfield did say that the team is just considering feature-length runtimes, so these plans could still change.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar+.
