Clearly appearing in dodgy sports gambling drama Two For The Money hasn’t scared Al Pacino away from the world of high stakes. And he’s obviously taken a look at the fun that Clooney and company have shooting the Ocean’s films and decided he wants in.
So who are they to turn down one of the world’s most respected actors? Even if he did star in S1m0ne... Pacino will join the starry brigade that already includes usual suspects Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac and their other new addition, Ellen Barkin.
As usual, the plot is still under wraps, though word is that Pacino will be playing Willie Banks, the owner of a high-class casino in Las Vegas. With everyone finally having synchronised their Blackberry date books, the film will kick off shooting in Vegas and Los Angeles under the watchful eye of Steven Soderbergh on 21 July.
