Why we love it: The battles can be a little long at times, but as a strategy game for the iPhone, Rogue Planet is unmatched. It forgoes resource gathering, focusing more heavily on unit tactics, and emphasizes dramatic intrigue over bombastic, exaggerated warfare. If you like Advance Wars, then this is an app you definitely need to check out. The fantastic presentation and Mass Effect-esque storyline don’t hurt either.
