BioShock to become a movie? Or an MMO?

Untapped online opportunities with both BioShock and Civ brands

Take-Two sees both BioShock and Civilization as untapped opportunities in the online gaming market, according to a presentation given by Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick yesterday.

Speaking at the Smid Cap Conference yesterday while we were tucked up in bed, Zelnick noted World of Warcraft's $1.1 billion revenue from last year and offered both games as potential opportunities to tap that market.

He also detailed why company stockholders unanimously rejected EA's take over bid, stating that the offer "is inadequate and substantially undervalues the company and its assets."

Finally, BioShock: The Movie was also mentioned as an opportunity to branch into traditional media.
