Threadless shirts bring hipster appeal to your Xbox Avatar today

Despite our instinctual revulsion at the concept of paying real money for nonexistent digital clothes, every now and then the Xbox Avatar Marketplace gets us. Sometimes we're pulled in with wrestling gearRoboCop helmets or yesterday’s Max Payne attire. There's a good selection, but what if you wanted your Avatar to reflect what a discerning, fashionable geek you are? Then you’ll be happy now that the popular clothing site Threadless has added a set of unreal shirts to the 360 mix.

You can see the whole set here as more than a dozen classic tops from the site’s rich t-shirt past are available for male and female Avatars. That includes our beloved Technicolor Rex (which we immediately bought), Mister Mittens' Big Adventure, and the Pac-Man inspired apparel Madness of Mission 6. By buying that last one, you’re one step closer to creating the perfect 360 recreation of Abed from Community, thus making your life complete.

They’re priced between 80 and 160 points aka $1 to $2 in real money.

Awesome, I remember when Threadless wasn't huge (my profile says I first joined in July 2005). I originally joined just to rate my buddy's submission, but since then I've bought a ton of shirts. Every time I wear one I get a comment on it, and always make sure I mention I got it from Threadless. At first no one had any idea what I was talking about, but now it seems a lot of the time I get the comment, "Did you get that shirt from Threadless?" Nice to see the company come this far.

I'd like to think I'd rather donate to charity than spend a single dollar on virtual clothes, but I bought all the DOAX games so I guess I did spent money on virtual clothes. Not a lot of clothes, but a whole lot of swimsuits.

Saw a bunch of these designs around the internet and never knew they were from Threadless. I bought the Technicolour Rex for my avatar, then went over to the site and bought a bunch of stuff from clearance. Way more important to buy rad clothes then study for my finals next week.
