The Top 7... Bloodiest games you've never played

Mortal Kombat? King of the bloody games, easy. Doom? No better feeling than perforating demons from hell into pulpy heaps. Dead Rising ? Trauma Center?  Gears of War? Yep, yep, yep - seen 'em. You've played these visceral thrills already - hell, everybody has.

What you need, as a true connoisseur of violence, are the bloody games that everyone else missed. Maybe these games came out when some other game was getting all the attention; maybe they're a little older than your friends' memories; maybe they simply had nothing else better going for them than copious amounts of crimson corpuscles. Whatever the reason, here's your cheat sheet to the bloodiest games you've never had the sloppy pleasure to play.

Shadow of Rome was an amazing game but kinda felt immature with the gore... like it was there olny gimick. Would have been an amazing game if i could take it seriously.

Just goes to show that anything in excess eventually becomes hilarious. I don't know why No More Heros wasn't on this list (the uncensored U.S. version at least), and it's too bad Madworld wasn't released in time for this article, it would fit right in.

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix is freaking amazing. I still play the multiplayer on that game. The single player is still entertaining to me.
  • jerome0003 - April 26, 2009 8:14 a.m.

i somehow managed to get a copy of thrill kill
  • OrpheusZero - April 24, 2009 8:27 p.m.

@ericairasole : In the beginning of the article, it says that it would address the games that were more obscure, as opposed to more mainstream ones. I'm pretty sure GoW 1 and 2 fall under the "mainstream" category.
