Square Enix's 3rd Birthday to launch on March 29th

You are cordially invited to celebrate Aya's 3rd Birthday with Square Enix on March 29th on the PSP. Gifts are not necessary, but guests are encouraged to bring a firearm of their choosing, infection masks, a first aid kit, and a decent pair of shoes.

Originally announced for mobile phones, The 3rd Birthday is a PSP continuation of the Parasite Eve franchise which last ended with 2000's Parasite Eve 2 for the original PlayStation. In it, an amnesiac Aya must once again take on the Twisted hordes, this time in 2012 Manhattan, and this time with the handy ability to swap bodies with both allies and enemies in an all new 'Overdrive System'.

This third entry in the Parasite Eve franchise will feature character designs by Final Fantasy artist, Tetsuya Nomura as well as voice work by Yvonne Strahovski from the TV show Chuck, and Jensen Ackles from CW's Supernatural.

The 3rd Birthday will retail for $29.99. Find out if its worth your time (and money) by reading our hands-on preview or going click-wild on the trailer below:

Well, I'm curious in this game. The original Parasite Eve still sticks out in my mind, a unique blend of Survival Horror and RPG. The sequel? Eh, it was okay, but I don't think I ever even finished it.

Game looks like a pile. Also disappointed at the in-game graphics, considering what I've seen can actually be squeezed out of the PSP. What the hell, Square?
