Sadira is a brand new Killer Instinct character

Sadira has been confirmed as the first brand new character for Xbox One launch game Killer Instinct. Boasting Wolverine-style claws which can be used as melee weapons and projectiles, the female fighter was revealed in the new trailer above, courtesy of GameSpot. The trailer also teases the return of Black Orchid.

Last month, Microsoft announced the pricing structure for Killer Instinct. While the title will be free to download and play with one character, Jago, additional fighters will be available for purchase starting at £3.99 each; Sabrewulf, Glacius and Thunder have also been confirmed.

Players hoping to significantly boost the roster will be able to purchase one of two discounted character packs. Priced at £16.99, representing roughly a 50 per cent saving, the Combo Breaker Pack will come with the game’s first eight characters (six at launch, plus two before their official post-launch release). Meanwhile, the £34.99 ‘Ultra Edition’ will include the same characters, fighter accessory packs, costumes and the original Killer Instinct arcade game.

Orchid is here, no surprise since SPOILER she's Jago's sister. Her ability to turn into a fire panther was always cool. Still this Sadira is associated with spiders and I find spiders creepy O.O

Im really loving how each character is formatting a different playstyle to the point where they are all different. Sadira is no different, especially being a more aerial rushdown with traps and the movements of a "Spider" which she was heavily built in concept for. Im digging B. Orchid's new look, and interesting her Tiger is its own thing rather than herself. Wonder what her playstyle will be like.

Orchid is like the Liu Kang of this series right? I think she was the one that beat the main bosses of the first two games.

yeah in canon wise, she defeated the first Killer Instinct's boss all by herself, my memory is short on the second game though but she probably did too

Hmm, I was under the impression Jago won the second one for some reason. But I guess without a third game in the series it's hard to say what was the canon ending.

Exactly, otherwise it was the second game that revealed that Orchid beat eyedol and revealed jago and orchid as siblings.

Presentation is only one factor in a game. But it's also it's what marks first impressions. If this game plays great for a competitive fighter, I may consider Xbone, the nostalgia factor is strong on this one, but it foreshadows lameness, will be surprised if this turns better than it looks.

As someone whose been following the game closely by watching a certain youtuber who is covering everything and is anxious as everyone else. I can tell you the game is really polishing itself more than what the simple trailers are showing you. Double Helix with the help of some Rare devs, are really working their butts off. The only real negative is the fact that Microsoft rushed them to make it by Launch, which caused the whole $20 6 Character shenanigans. But hopefully it wont diminish the actual game, especiallty in the competitive department. Its already neat enough every character is handling a different style, with Jago being the middle balance ground, Sabrewulf on Rushdown, Glacius on long range and spacing, Thunder on Grappling and now Sadira on aerial.

I think the best outcome for this free to play idea would be not having to deal with 2.0 versions of the same game, just keep on adding to one game would be better for all.

Thats what they are planning, the main game itself will just keep updating with seasons that will add more characters, unlike Capcom and their shenanigans with Street Fighter 4. The idea itself is neat as one can simply buy the entire game as a whole as newcomers can try the free to play model and it wont affect each other in the slightest.
