Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Cameron Diaz to star in One Hit Wonders

A singing sensation from Glee creator Ryan Murphy

A slew of female stars are to assemble for Glee creator Ryan Murphy's new film, One Hit Wonders .

Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyoncé are all set to feature in the musical film.

The script will focus on a batch of '90s solo-artist has-beens banding together to form a super group.

Murphy will co-write and direct after reportedly selling the idea for a seven-figure sum to Sony Pictures.

The Lonely Island artist Andy Samberg is potentially playing a role in crafting the music for the film which will more than likely be a world away from 'We Just Had Sex'.

No tentative release date yet, but don't expect to see if One Hit Wonders makes the charts until at least late 2013.
