Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault coming to PSN this year

Ted Price, president of renowned developer Insomniac Games, announced today that his studio's next title will be an all-new "fun-sized" installment in the Ratchet and Clank series, released to tie-in with the company's 10-year anniversary celebration.

"Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is a fun-sized Ratchet adventure which will be available for download exclusively on the PlayStation Store," wrote Price. "We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play. Even better, the addition of online features means you can experience Full Frontal Assault with your friends."

Apart from that, Price offered no solid details on the title, though it seems likely that we'll be seeing the game in some form at E3 next week. Price also mentioned that we'll be seeing a specific release date for this Summer's Ratchet and Clank HD collection in a few weeks, along with a "special surprise" for North American fans.

Can you tell it's E3 week yet? Full Frontal Assault may already be the third new game announced today after the Dead Space 3 tease and the neat-sounding Guardians of Middle-Earth.

Woohoo! I didn't like the demo of All 4 One much, but I'd love a new proper R&C.

This ought to be fun. I like All 4 One just fine, but I'd rather have a classic-style R&C game any day.

"fun-sized". I wonder what that means. Somethink like ToD/CiT or just somethink a little longer than Quest for Booty. I hope it will be the next "normal"/"full" Ratchet. I also hope it was not true what Insomiac once said - that they will make no more games in 60fps. All Ratchets had 60fps, Crack in Time had 30/60 and it lowered the experience. 30 all the time would ruin the great "high quality platformer" feeling the series had since the PS2 debut.

YES! Much more interested in this than in All 4 One.
